This project has a budget of \u20ac4,033,073.00 and the consortium consists of 8 companies: ACCIONA Construcci\u00f3n, AFESA Medio Ambiente, INPRE, Omar coatings, Plastibor, Industrial de transformados, Envoenzyme and Menzolit. In addition, it has 6 research centers with proven experience and reputation: Gaiker, ICTP-CSIC, ICP-CSIC, ICB-CSIS, AITIIP and AITEX. <\/p>\n\n

The fundamental objective<\/strong> of the CICLO project is to research new technological solutions<\/strong> to promote the circular economy in the field of renewable energies, specifically in the recycling and valorization of wind turbine blades and other composite components used in the construction of wind turbines<\/strong> such as nacelles, electrical cabinets, etc. at the end of their lifecycle. In addition, research will be carried out aimed at the development of alternative materials<\/strong> to the current ones that are more easily recyclable<\/strong>: that is, recyclable polymeric matrices. <\/p>\n\n

INPRE’s objectives in this project, among others, focus on using more sustainable technology to protect the environment, focusing on the recyclability of new products. In addition to this, it seeks to valorize waste from wind turbine blades and other plastics through the development of new products with recycled material with mechanical properties and qualities suitable for their use. <\/p>\n\n

The CICLO project responds to Mission 3 \u201cPromotion of the circular economy – specifically recycling and valorization in the field of renewable energies and energy storage\u201d, and in particular, its theme focuses on the development of \u201cTechnologies aimed at recycling wind turbine blades, specifically the separation of composite materials.<\/p>\n\n

The TransMisiones 2024 initiative is an action that is executed in collaboration between the CDTI and the AEI, contemplated in the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation<\/a> (PEICTI), by which the financing of groups of research and knowledge dissemination organizations and groups of companies that collaborate for the joint development of a coordinated R&D action is coordinated, which responds to the challenges identified in the thematic priorities or Missions.<\/p>\n\n
